More about Tanasha

My journey into becoming a therapist was not a straightforward one. It grew out of my own lived experiences, and the profound impact of being genuinely heard, without judgement, at a time when it mattered most. That experience continues to shape the way I work today.

Prior to private practice, I supported women who had experienced domestic and sexual abuse, as well as working as a group facilitator. I worked as a crisis counsellor for Mind, and I continue to work at a local counselling agency, where I built and continue to develop my clinical skills.

I don't see therapy as a place to fix you. It is a space to begin making sense of what is going on for you, and to reconnect with your inner strength, within a relationship built on trust and authentic care.

Whilst I work with a range of presenting difficulties, such as emotional wellbeing, relational difficulties and bereavement, my special interest lies in domestic and sexual abuse, childhood trauma, and complex trauma. I understand the profound ways these experiences can shape how you see yourself, your sense of value, and how you relate to others.

My approach is trauma-informed and integrative. Person-centred and psychodynamic therapy form the basis of my approach, with other modalities drawn on when appropriate, always adapted to you and your needs.
